At Wellness on 1st, we offer two unique approaches to microneedling, allowing you to choose the treatment experience that best aligns with your goals, comfort level, and insurance coverage.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production by creating tiny, controlled microchannels within the skin. This natural healing response can help improve skin texture, soften fine lines, reduce acne scarring, improve tone and elasticity, and support overall skin rejuvenation.

Whether you are looking for a holistic acupuncture-based treatment that supports whole-body wellness or a relaxing therapeutic treatment combined with massage therapy, our practitioners provide personalized care in a calm and supportive environment.

What are the Benefits of Microneedling?

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production: Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.
  • Improves skin tone and texture: Diminishes scarring, hyperpigmentation, and enlarged pores.
  • Enhances serum absorption: Allows nutrients and active ingredients to penetrate deeper for maximum results.
  • Supports acne and scar healing: Helps remodel scar tissue and calm inflammation.
  • Boosts circulation and lymphatic flow: Promotes a healthier, more radiant complexion.

Microneedling Acupuncture: Holistic Skin Rejuvenation Through Traditional Chinese Medicine

Microneedling Acupuncture, also known as collagen induction therapy, combines advanced skin rejuvenation techniques with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to support both cosmetic goals and whole-body wellness.

Using fine, sterile needles, controlled microchannels are created within the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production while enhancing the absorption of nourishing serums for a smoother, more radiant complexion.. To maximize comfort, a numbing cream is applied before the procedure.

What makes this treatment unique is the addition of constitutional acupuncture, an emerging integrative approach that delivers both cosmetic and internal wellness benefits. By targeting the skin’s surface while supporting deeper physiological balance, this treatment bridges traditional healing with modern skincare. Incorporating body and facial acupuncture points helps restore overall balance, improve circulation, and optimize the body’s innate healing capacity, allowing you to not only enhance your skin’s appearance but also support whole-body wellness.

This treatment is performed by a Registered Acupuncturist and may be fully eligible for reimbursement under acupuncture benefits depending on your insurance coverage.

Therapeutic Microneedling: Skin Rejuvenation Paired with Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Microneedling is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment designed to support collagen production, improve skin texture, and promote a brighter, healthier-looking complexion.

Using fine, sterile needles, this treatment creates controlled microchannels in the skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing response while enhancing absorption of professional topical products. A numbing cream is applied before the procedure to maximize comfort throughout the treatment.

At Wellness on 1st, this service is thoughtfully paired with 40 minutes of therapeutic massage to encourage relaxation and support overall wellbeing. Treatment includes massage to the hands, arms, and scalp, creating a calming and restorative experience while your skin receives focused rejuvenation care.

Please note: only the massage therapy portion of this visit may be eligible for insurance reimbursement. Up to $80 per session may be submitted by the client under massage therapy benefits. Microneedling itself is not billable under massage therapy. Direct billing is not available for this service.

When Will I See Results?

The true healing and collagen renewal begin at home after your session. For best results, we recommend a series of treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with most clients noticing their most visible improvements after the third session. To support your skin journey, we offer packages for a series of three follow-up appointments, making it easier to commit to the process and maximize results. This package included a free Eminence Organics Copper Tripeptide Serum ($178 value).
Copper Tripeptide Serum

Copper Tripeptide Serum
Support post-treatment skin recovery with a multi-action blend of copper tripeptide, resveratrol and zinc hyaluronate. This lightweight gel-serum helps reduce the look of redness and improves skin elasticity and bounce with daily use.
To maintain healthy, radiant skin long term, a maintenance Microneedling treatment every 2–4 months is ideal. During the downtime between sessions, Cosmetic Acupuncture can also be added to further enhance skin rejuvenation and support overall balance from within.

Why Choose Us for Microneedling?

At Wellness on 1st, we believe skin health and overall wellness are deeply connected. Our multidisciplinary clinic offers a supportive and personalized approach to care, allowing clients to choose treatments that align with both their cosmetic goals and their overall wellbeing. Whether you are seeking a holistic acupuncture-based treatment or a therapeutic relaxation-focused experience, we are here to support your skin and wellness journey naturally.

Microneedling Contraindications

Microneedling is a safe and effective treatment for most clients, but like any therapy, it’s important to ensure it’s appropriate for your individual health and skin conditions. To help you achieve the best results safely, we do not recommend microneedling in the following situations:
  • Keloid scars
  • Active eczema, psoriasis, or other chronic skin conditions
  • Active acne, rosacea, inflammatory conditions, or open wounds
  • History of actinic or solar keratosis
  • History of herpes simplex (cold sores), herpes labialis, or other local infections such as warts
  • Presence of raised moles in the treatment area
  • Current sunburn (wait until fully healed)
  • Scleroderma, collagen or vascular diseases, or cardiac abnormalities
  • Blood clotting disorders or patients on anticoagulant therapy
  • Active bacterial or fungal infections
  • Immunosuppression, including patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
  • Pregnancy or nursing (due to potential effects of anesthetic cream; superficial treatment without anesthetic may be an option—please consult with your practitioner)

Microneedling Pre-Treatment Instructions

Before your micro-needling treatment, please ensure you follow these instructions to achieve the best results and minimize potential risks:
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Refrain from prolonged sun exposure or tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to your treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin is more sensitive and may increase the risk of complications during the procedure.
  • Discontinue Certain Medications and Products: Avoid using topical retinoids, glycolic acids, and other exfoliating agents for at least one week prior to your treatment. Additionally, discontinue the use of oral blood thinners or anti-inflammatory medications unless specifically instructed by your healthcare provider.
  • Stay Hydrated: Ensure your skin is well-hydrated leading up to your treatment. Drink plenty of water and moisturize your skin regularly to maintain its health and integrity.
  • Notify Your Practitioner: Inform your practitioner of any recent changes in your health, medications, or skincare routine. This includes any new medications, allergies, or skin conditions that may affect the treatment.
  • Avoid Hair Removal: Refrain from waxing, tweezing, or using depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least one week prior to your appointment. Hair removal can irritate the skin and increase sensitivity during the procedure.
  • Prepare Your Skin: Cleanse your skin thoroughly on the day of your treatment, removing any makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products. Avoid applying heavy creams or lotions that may interfere with the micro-needling process.
  • Stay Healthy: Maintain a healthy lifestyle leading up to your treatment. Get adequate rest, eat a balanced diet, and avoid excessive alcohol consumption to promote optimal skin health.
