Enhance your skin’s natural glow and support overall wellness with Microneedling performed by a Registered Acupuncturist. This treatment goes beyond traditional cosmetic care by combining advanced microneedling techniques with the wisdom of acupuncture to address both the surface of the skin and the deeper systems of the body.

Whether you’re looking to reduce fine lines, improve skin texture, minimize scars, or support long-term skin health, Microneedling offers a holistic, results-driven approach to revitalization.

What is Microneedling Acupuncture?

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create microchannels in the skin. To ensure comfort, a numbing cream is applied before the procedure. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production while enhancing the absorption of nourishing serums for a smoother, more radiant complexion.

At Wellness on 1st, our Microneedling treatments are uniquely combined with constitutional acupuncture, an emerging integrative approach that delivers both cosmetic and internal wellness benefits. By targeting the skin’s surface while supporting deeper physiological balance, this treatment bridges traditional healing with modern skincare. Incorporating body and facial acupuncture points helps restore overall balance, improve circulation, and optimize the body’s innate healing capacity, allowing you to not only enhance your skin’s appearance but also support whole-body wellness.

What are the Benefits of Microneedling Acupuncture?

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production: Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.
  • Improves skin tone and texture: Diminishes scarring, hyperpigmentation, and enlarged pores.
  • Enhances serum absorption: Allows nutrients and active ingredients to penetrate deeper for maximum results.
  • Supports acne and scar healing: Helps remodel scar tissue and calm inflammation.
  • Boosts circulation and lymphatic flow: Promotes a healthier, more radiant complexion.
  • Holistic wellness support: Incorporates acupuncture points to balance internal systems, reduce stress, and encourage overall vitality.

When Will I See Results?

The true healing and collagen renewal begin at home after your session. For best results, we recommend a series of treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with most clients noticing their most visible improvements after the third session. To support your skin journey, we offer packages for a series of three follow-up appointments, making it easier to commit to the process and maximize results.

To maintain healthy, radiant skin long term, a maintenance Microneedling treatment every 2–4 months is ideal. During the downtime between sessions, Cosmetic Acupuncture can also be added to further enhance skin rejuvenation and support overall balance from within.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy of 640 nm is shown to support healthier, more resilient skin. Studies suggest that these wavelengths can help stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, contributing to a smoother, firmer complexion. This part of the light spectrum is also associated with calming inflammation and supporting natural repair processes by energizing skin cells through enhanced mitochondrial activity.
*Red light therapy is available as an add-on to your appointment.

Why Choose Us for Microneedling Acupuncture?

At Wellness on 1st, your Microneedling session is more than a skin treatment—it’s a comprehensive healing experience. By combining advanced microneedling with carefully selected acupuncture points, we address both the visible and underlying factors that affect skin health.

As your treatment is performed by a Registered Acupuncturist, it may also be eligible for coverage under acupuncture insurance benefits, making it an accessible and supportive option for your wellness journey.

Let us help you restore your skin’s natural radiance while supporting your whole-body health. With Microneedling at Wellness on 1st, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, revitalized, and renewed—inside and out.

Microneedling Contraindications

Microneedling is a safe and effective treatment for most clients, but like any therapy, it’s important to ensure it’s appropriate for your individual health and skin conditions. To help you achieve the best results safely, we do not recommend microneedling in the following situations:
  • Keloid scars
  • Active eczema, psoriasis, or other chronic skin conditions
  • Active acne, rosacea, inflammatory conditions, or open wounds
  • History of actinic or solar keratosis
  • History of herpes simplex (cold sores), herpes labialis, or other local infections such as warts
  • Presence of raised moles in the treatment area
  • Current sunburn (wait until fully healed)
  • Scleroderma, collagen or vascular diseases, or cardiac abnormalities
  • Blood clotting disorders or patients on anticoagulant therapy
  • Active bacterial or fungal infections
  • Immunosuppression, including patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
  • Pregnancy or nursing (due to potential effects of anesthetic cream; superficial treatment without anesthetic may be an option—please consult with your practitioner)

Microneedling Pre-Treatment Instructions

Before your micro-needling treatment, please ensure you follow these instructions to achieve the best results and minimize potential risks:
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Refrain from prolonged sun exposure or tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to your treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin is more sensitive and may increase the risk of complications during the procedure.
  • Discontinue Certain Medications and Products: Avoid using topical retinoids, glycolic acids, and other exfoliating agents for at least one week prior to your treatment. Additionally, discontinue the use of oral blood thinners or anti-inflammatory medications unless specifically instructed by your healthcare provider.
  • Stay Hydrated: Ensure your skin is well-hydrated leading up to your treatment. Drink plenty of water and moisturize your skin regularly to maintain its health and integrity.
  • Notify Your Practitioner: Inform your practitioner of any recent changes in your health, medications, or skincare routine. This includes any new medications, allergies, or skin conditions that may affect the treatment.
  • Avoid Hair Removal: Refrain from waxing, tweezing, or using depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least one week prior to your appointment. Hair removal can irritate the skin and increase sensitivity during the procedure.
  • Prepare Your Skin: Cleanse your skin thoroughly on the day of your treatment, removing any makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products. Avoid applying heavy creams or lotions that may interfere with the micro-needling process.
  • Stay Healthy: Maintain a healthy lifestyle leading up to your treatment. Get adequate rest, eat a balanced diet, and avoid excessive alcohol consumption to promote optimal skin health.
