What is a Student Massage?
Our student massages are provided by Rae Powley, a second year massage therapy student who is actively completing her education and practical training required to become a Registered Massage Therapist.
Although still in training, our student therapist has developed hands-on experience with a variety of massage techniques and works with each client to understand their goals, areas of tension, and comfort preferences.
Treatments may incorporate techniques such as Swedish massage, myofascial release, and other therapeutic approaches appropriate to the student's current level of training.

Is Student Massage Covered by Insurance?
Student massage treatments are not provided by a Registered Massage Therapist and therefore are generally not eligible for reimbursement through extended health insurance plans. Some health spending accounts will reimburse for student massage, but please make sure to check with your individual policy.
For clients who require an insurance receipt for massage therapy, we recommend booking with one of our Registered Massage Therapists instead.
