Mark has a diverse background; beginning with competitive sport, trade/labour work and customer service jobs. This gave him a true appreciation for different stressors people endure on a regular basis. After this, he took some time to gain a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick, before studying Manual Osteopathic Therapy (honours with distinction) at the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada.
Practicing on the foundation that health lies in movement. Mark believes the key to physical and mental health is in the movement of all its parts. Genetics, lifestyle, surgeries and accidents often lead to lesions in muscles, joints, connective tissues and organs. Manual Osteopathic Therapists (MOT) assess everything and treat the structures with impaired movement. This is why treatments often are not in the same area as symptoms. If symptoms are present, the goal is to remove the cause, rather than simply treating the symptoms.
Manual Osteopathic Therapy provides the tools to assess and treat the body as a whole. Mark is excited to welcome new clients looking to improve their overall health and wellness. Trained in Osteoarticular, Myofascial Remodeling, Visceral Manipulation, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Osteopathic Craniosacral techniques; he believes anyone can benefit from manual osteopathic therapy.
